Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in EMC Networker 9.,18.,19.x, EMC Data Domain
- Experience in supporting TSM Back up administration as well.
- Experience in Tape Library management and troubleshooting
- Administering the Networker Management Console Server and command line exposure
- Working knowledge in EMC Networker 9.,18.,19.x, and EMC Data Domain for Installation, Configuration and upgradation administration on Windows, UNIX and Linux environments. Flexibility/Availability to work in shifts/Oncall for 24x7 supports.
- ? Experience and in-depth knowledge of Dell EMC Networker, Design, Implementation and maintenance of EMC Networker, TSM, Data Domain and Tape Library
- ? Manage the backup and restoration of systems using Dell EMC Networker and Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM)
- ? Installing, Upgrading, and configuring IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and Networker client Server in AIX, Linux & UNIX environment
- ? Installing, Upgrading, and configuring Backup Client in AIX, Linux & UNIX environment Daily corporate backups using Networker and TSM software and monitoring of schedules for failed and missed backups.
- ? Disaster Recovery (DR) preparation and testing and same should be applied for Networker
- ? Support migration activities in the Backup environment using TSM and Networker
- ? Fine-tune and troubleshoot TSM and Networker environment for optimal performance and resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
- ? Diagnose Networker and TSM platform issues (server and client side) and provide Support in complex, business-critical environment including physical and virtual infrastructure
- ? Produce basic project plans, root cause analysis documents, change/risk assessments, and product management documentation.
- ? Participate in Change meetings, post incident analysis and root cause analysis process.
- ? Experience in handling and mitigating the vulnerability issues.
- ? Managing EMC Networker; capable of independently planning and understanding Labels, Media, Devices, Groups, Clients & NBD.
- ? Managing Virtual Server backup through Networker
- ? Participate in disaster recovery, planning, changes, upgrades, implementation and tests as scheduled.
- ? Support for technical consultation and inquiries from the other IT technical teams
- ? Troubleshooting backup failures and ensuring retentions of the backup as per Backup policy document
- ? Managing Tape Library and their operations
- ? Handling incidents and change management requests.
- ? Preparing necessary delivery reports & Performance Dashboards.
- ? Create and update documentation including daily backup reports.
