Your role as Network Architect

In your role as Networks Architect, you will play a key role in creating highly scalable network architecture designs based on Siemens Energy´s requirements.
- Map high level architectural ambiguity driven by customer requirements, product roadmaps etc... to highly scalable architecture designs.
- Delivering end-to-end network management solutions for our business
- Automating infrastructure migration to private and public cloud environments
- Implementing governance, build, deployment and monitoring standards for the clients
- Translate customer requirements into infrastructure changes and ensure fulfillment
- Propose and implementation infrastructure optimization and service optimization
- Ensure implementation of security guidelines

In your role, it is essential to always consider both sides - the business perspective and that of the technical team. With excellent analytical skills and a knack for tackling problems head on, you will find the right solution for all stakeholders and effectively put it into action.

Your Skills / qualification / experience
- 10 years of experience in network architecture and design
- Strong Business English and good German communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and technical stakeholder
- Prior experience in managing large and complex hybrid cloud environments
- Experience with Datacenter transformation and migration projects would be of advantage.
- Experienced in designing and costing robust managed network service solutions using the following technologies.

oSD WAN technology (ideally Velocloud and/or (Viptela and Meraki))

oConnectivity solutions to Cloud Service Providers (e.g. Azure, AWS, Microsoft)

oNetwork routing and switching protocols and technologies, specifically Juniper network routing technology
- Highly proficient in the use of MS Office tools and Visio as well as associated vendor tools to effectively consolidate, document and communicate these solutions to the business and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to story-tell a proposition to a variety of stakeholders
- Profound knowledge in Juniper network technologies (LAN / WLAN / API)
- Profound knowledge in SD-WAN, SASE, Zscaler & Firewall technologies
- Good understanding of network (LAN/WAN/MAN/MPLS/ExpressRoute/SD-network solutions) capabilities
- Common understanding of interfaces (e.g. REST API etc.)
- Knowledge about Identity and Access Management solutions required
- Common understanding about IT Service & Process management
- Proficiency in automation and scripting of deployment and operation procedures (IaC)
- Willingness to travel (internationally)
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as Senior Management, Program and Project Management, Infrastructure and Security

Your Education
- A university degree in IT or information systems
- Certification in Juniper, Zscaler and/or Palo Alto technologies
- Certifications like TOGAF, ITIL or COBIT is a plus
