**Description & Qualifications**:
Description
- Expert in Installation / configuration/ maintenance and Administration of PostgreSQL with an emphasis on EnterpriseDB versions.
- Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation
- Expert in developing scripts for a range of maintenance activities
- Experience with Enterprise Failover Manager for HA is required
- Must be able to patch/upgrade PostgreSQL in a HA architecture
- Experience with streaming DB Replication preferred
- Experience with logical Replication
- Knowledge of connection poolers like pgPool,pgBouncer,pgbench ideal
- Should be able to take End to End resposibility of assigned projects
- Should have capability of providing new ideas to improve the environment
- Thorough knowledge of database security best practices
- Experience with Implementation in a Cloud Environment ideal
- Expert in performance analysis and resolution
- Knowledge of Planning and Implementing (scripting) backup strategies.
- Cloud SaaS (multi-tenant) environment experience preferred
- Linux Administration (RHEL) and Rocky Linux experience preferred
- Knowledge of Integration with 3rd party Monitoring Systems
- Familiarity with Virtual Machine (or Docker) technology a plus
- Expert in problem solving, planning, organization, and documentation
- Ability to excel in a cohesive team environment
- Experience with JDBC connection pools preferred
- Communicates effectively to both technical and non-technical individuals at various levels of customer and internal organizations.
- Uses consultative techniques and skills in their services delivery.
- Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues,performance issues, blocking
- Capacity Planning (Backup Share, Disk, CPU, Memory etc)
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Works as a member of a 24 x 7 team.

Good to have
- Exposure to Cloud (GCP), CloudSQL, NoSQL specially Cassandra will be an added advantage

**Qualifications**:
The successful applicant will demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. They will possess strong consultative abilities and communication skills which they will leverage to tie their technical recommendations to business benefits and process change. After initial training they normally require little instruction on their day-to-day work.
BE/ B.Tech/ MCA or equivalent experience in Computer Science.
PPAS Database, Enterprise DB Database Administrator Certified Associate or Professional Preferred
Above 5-8 years of experience working as an PostgreSQL/EnterpriseDB PPAS DBA with an experience of supporting Cloud customer facing production environments.
