**Engineering & Business Service Center > SCM EBSC > Customs & Trade**

Global Customs & Trade Team is part of the Engineering & Business Service Center, it is spearheading the efforts to enhance and develop the Customs & Trade Compliance Processes within Vestas to the next level of excellence. The Global Trade & Customs Team works in association with internal and external stakeholders on various path-breaking initiatives, such as Customs Cost-Out, AEO Certification, Trade-related strategic development initiatives etc., and is in a constant endeavor to add value to the organization through its various initiatives and programs. In addition to the development initiatives, the Global Customs & Trade Team is also supporting documentation related activities, such as European Union Trade Documentation & Customs Documentation & Services, with an objective to support the Customs & Trade-related transactional and documentation activities in an efficient and effective manner.

**Responsibilities**:
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Manage global customs and trade compliance processes, ensuring adherence to all applicable customs regulations and requirements
- Ensure all import/export documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with customs regulations
- Provide support to internal teams on customs and trade compliance issues, including tariff classifications, customs valuation, and country of origin rules
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of customs declarations and filings with relevant authorities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global trade regulations and requirements, and monitor changes to trade policies and customs regulations
- Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to coordinate the clearance of goods through customs and ensure compliance with regulations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other external service providers
- Support in periodic internal audits to identify potential customs and trade compliance issues and implement corrective actions as necessary

**Qualifications**
- Graduate / Post-Graduate from a reputed Institute or University preferably in International Business, Supply Chain or related field
- Around 2-5 years of experience in Customs, Trade Compliance and Documentation area
- Knowledge of US, EU and APAC Import / export regulations and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge & Experience in customs clearance, import/export documentation and trade compliance management
- Knowledge & Experience in HS (Tariff) classification, customs valuation and country of origin Determination
- Good knowledge of import / export procedures, customs regulations, Free Trade Agreements, Rules of Origin, Import Duties and taxes, International Regulations

**Competencies**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively to resolve complex customs and trade compliance issues
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with customs compliance software and SAP systems is a plus
