**Job Title**:Lab Technician (Phlebotomist) - Medivision Scan and Diagnostic Center

**Location**: KAYAMKULAM

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Job Summary**: As a Lab Technician (Phlebotomist) at Medivision Scan and Diagnostic Center, you will play a vital role in our diagnostic process by collecting and processing patient samples with precision and care. You will be responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures, handling specimens, ensuring quality control measures are followed, and maintaining accurate documentation. Your expertise and professionalism will contribute to the accurate and efficient delivery of diagnostic services.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients.
- Ensure proper identification of patients and specimens, following established protocols.
- Process and prepare specimens for testing, ensuring appropriate storage and transportation conditions.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with sample analysis as required.
- Adhere to established safety and infection control protocols, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for specimen collection, handling, and processing.
- Verify and record patient information and test results accurately and confidentially.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any specimen-related issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain equipment, perform regular maintenance, and report any malfunctions.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Stay updated on the latest laboratory techniques, advancements, and best practices.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their concerns and queries professionally.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions and maintain patient confidentiality.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Certification in Phlebotomy is highly desirable.
- Sound knowledge of phlebotomy techniques, specimen collection, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and basic laboratory tests.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling and record-keeping.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Proficient in using computer systems and laboratory information systems.
- Flexibility to work in different locations across Kerala, as required.

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
