**Job Title**: Audiologist

**Job Summary**:
An audiologist is a healthcare professional who specializes in identifying, assessing, and managing disorders related to hearing and balance. They work with patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly, to diagnose hearing loss and provide appropriate interventions, which may include hearing aids, cochlear implants, assistive listening devices, and auditory rehabilitation therapy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Diagnostic Testing**: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' hearing abilities using various diagnostic tools and techniques, such as audiometry, tympanometry, otoacoustic emissions (OAE) testing, and auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing.
- **Hearing Aid Fitting and Management**: Recommend, fit, and program hearing aids based on patients' individual needs and preferences. Provide counseling and guidance on hearing aid use, maintenance, and adjustment.
- **Balance Assessment**: Evaluate and manage disorders of the vestibular system, including vertigo, dizziness, and balance problems. Perform vestibular testing, such as videonystagmography (VNG) and rotary chair testing, to diagnose vestibular disorders.
- **Tinnitus Management**: Assess and treat patients experiencing tinnitus (ringing or buzzing in the ears) through various therapeutic approaches, including sound therapy, counseling, and habituation techniques.
- **Pediatric Audiology**: Specialize in evaluating and treating hearing disorders in infants and children, including newborn hearing screening, auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing, and pediatric hearing aid fittings.
- **Communication and Counseling**: Educate patients and their families about hearing health, hearing loss prevention, and communication strategies. Provide counseling and support to help patients adjust to hearing loss and improve their quality of life.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including otolaryngologists (ENT doctors), speech-language pathologists, educators, and psychologists, to provide comprehensive care for patients with hearing and balance disorders.
- **Research and Education**: Stay abreast of advancements in audiology research and technology. Participate in continuing education activities and contribute to research projects to advance the field of audiology.

**Qualifications**:

- Doctoral degree (Au.D.) in Audiology from an accredited program.
- State licensure or certification as an audiologist.
- Clinical experience through internships and/or residency programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
- Knowledge of hearing aid technology, cochlear implants, and other assistive devices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus
- Yearly bonus

**Experience**:

- Audiologist: 1 year (preferred)
- ENT Doctors: 1 year (preferred)
- otolaryngologists: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- (Au.D.) in Audiology (preferred)
