**About Us**: Mild Life Hostel is a cozy and vibrant hostel in Rishikesh, offering travelers a home away from home with a laid-back atmosphere. Our hostel kitchen is a central part of our guest experience, offering nutritious, flavorful, and innovative dishes. We are looking for a passionate and creative Trainee Chef to join our team and help elevate our culinary offerings.

As a Trainee Chef at Mild Life Hostel, you will have the exciting opportunity to experiment with different cuisines, create your own menu ideas, and develop your culinary skills. You will work independently without the direct supervision of senior chefs, giving you the freedom to explore your creativity in the kitchen. You’ll receive guidance and suggestions from the hostel owner but are encouraged to take initiative, try new things, and learn from hands-on experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare daily meals for hostel guests, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation.
- Plan and create a simple, healthy, and appealing menu that caters to various dietary preferences (vegetarian, vegan, etc.).
- Source and manage ingredients and supplies efficiently to minimize waste.
- Experiment with different recipes and cooking techniques to enhance the culinary experience for guests.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
- Take feedback from guests and the owner to continuously improve the menu and food quality.
- Manage food preparation and service during hostel events, small parties, or gatherings.
- Occasionally assist with inventory management and budget planning for the kitchen.

**Requirements**:

- Passion for cooking and experimenting with different types of cuisine.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to adjust the menu based on ingredient availability and guest preferences.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to take feedback and improve based on it.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
