**Job Overview**:
The MEP Head is responsible for managing all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in construction projects from planning through execution, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards, timelines, and budgetary guidelines. The role involves coordination with the design and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with overall project objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Project Planning and Coordination**:

- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems).
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure MEP systems are incorporated into the overall design.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and cost estimates for MEP-related activities.
- **Technical Leadership**:

- Provide technical expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and best practices.
- Review MEP design drawings and specifications, ensuring they meet the project’s needs and are feasible for construction.
- Lead and mentor MEP engineers and other technical staff in the organization.
- **Budgeting and Cost Control**:

- Oversee and manage the MEP budget, ensuring the project stays within financial constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering without compromising quality.
- **Vendor Management**:

- Select, negotiate, and manage contracts with MEP subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor the performance of MEP contractors to ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to contract terms.
- **Construction Oversight**:

- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being performed according to design, schedule, and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any MEP-related issues during construction.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure that all MEP installations comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Promote and enforce safety practices within the MEP teams and ensure compliance with occupational safety and health standards.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship in MEP installations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with design specifications.
- **Stakeholder Communication**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for all MEP-related matters with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Provide regular updates on MEP progress to senior management and project stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or related discipline. Master’s degree is a plus.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 15-20years of experience in MEP design, installation, and management within the construction industry.
- **Technical Skills**:

- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Familiarity with building codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in design and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project).
- Strong understanding of energy-efficient technologies and sustainable design practices.
- **Leadership Skills**: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

**Preferred Certifications**:

- LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or other relevant certifications

**Additional Requirements**:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to construction sites as required.
