Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct research and experiments to develop and improve processes for producing emery grains and powder from aluminium and bauxite.
- Analyze raw materials and final products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Optimize chemical processes for the efficient and cost-effective production of emery grains and powder.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, analyses, and production processes.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement new processes and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- **Educational Background**:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- **Technical Expertise**:

- In-depth knowledge of aluminium and bauxite chemistry.
- Experience in the production of emery grains and powder.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and conducting chemical analyses.
- **Analytical Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex data related to chemical processes and material properties.
- **Research and Development**:

- Experience in research and development, specifically in the field of materials science and chemical engineering.
- Ability to design and execute experiments to test and refine production processes.
- **Quality Control**:

- Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards.
- Experience in ensuring product consistency and quality through rigorous testing and analysis.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations related to chemical processing.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- **Communication and Collaboration**:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and R&D.
- **Technical Proficiency**:

- Proficiency in using software for data analysis and process simulation (e.g., MATLAB, Excel, specialized chemistry software).

Desired Experience:

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the abrasives industry.
- Experience working with large-scale chemical processing and manufacturing operations.
