**Job Description for Dean of Research and Development**

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Providing strategic leadership and overall coordination for research development in the institution
- To prepare proposals and making other teachers in the line for funding from various funding agencies like UGC, AICTE, DST, DBT, Industries etc.
- Fostering collaborations and mentoring support for research amongst academic teaching staff and motivate faculty to write projects.
- Industry Institute Linkages (Signing MOU with the industry), Collaborative Research Entrepreneurship & incubation centers and to monitor ongoing projects in the institute.
- Facilitate the Consultancy work in the CSE and allied branches.
- To monitor the effective utilization of funds of externally funding projects.
- Providing advice and relevant documentation to the management on research matters.

**Requirements**:

- Distinguished Academician with Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in CSE and 15 to 20 years of experience in University / IIT/ NIT or in an engineering college or research institution.
- Should have record of continuous research, where he has mobilized funding from different sources like UGC, AICTE, DSIR, DST, Industry, Govt. Of India departments and foreign funding resources for research and development.
- Holding leadership positions like Head (R&D) / Dean (R&D) and similar positions where he has fostered the spirit of original research into the minds of his colleagues and helped them in getting different funding for R & D.
- Should have his own patent and also should have guided his colleagues for patent.
- Should have clear idea about intellectual property rights.
- Should have guided minimum 5 to 10 scholars for their Ph. D. degree.

**Salary**: ₹200,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
