Job Title : Welding Inspector

Location : Tanjore, Tamil Nadu, India

Experience : 1 to 3 Years

Salary : 15000 To 18000

**Job Description**:

- Ensure welding procedures are followed according to specifications and codes (like ASME, AWS etc.).
- Visually inspect welds for defects like cracks, porosity, undercut, and improper fusion.
- Conduct various non-destructive testing (NDT) methods like Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (PT) to assess weld quality.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, documenting findings and recommendations.
- May be involved in welder qualification procedures.
- Collaborate with welders, supervisors, and engineers to ensure quality standards are met.

**Required Skills**:

- Strong understanding of welding processes (arc welding, MIG, TIG etc.)
- Knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, AWS etc.)
- Familiarity with various NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT)
- Ability to read and interpret welding procedures and drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and reporting skills

**Additional Skills (Desirable)**:

- CSWIP certification in specific inspection methods (e.g., VT, UT, RT)
- Experience in a specific industry (e.g., shipbuilding, construction, oil & gas)
- Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
