Assitant Professor of Yoga

Maharishi University of Information and Technology (MUIT) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Professor of Yoga to join our vibrant faculty community. As a university grounded in the principles of Consciousness-Based Education, we are committed to integrating the timeless wisdom of yoga with modern academic disciplines to foster holistic growth and development in our students. The Assistant Professor of Yoga will play a key role in advancing our mission by delivering high-quality instruction, conducting research, and contributing to the academic and intellectual life of the university.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in yoga philosophy, asana (postures), pranayama (breath control), meditation, and related topics, utilizing the principles of Consciousness-Based Education.

2. Design and implement innovative teaching methods and course materials that integrate traditional yoga practices with modern scientific understanding.

3. Mentor and advise students, providing guidance on academic, personal, and spiritual development in alignment with the principles of Consciousness-Based Education.

5. Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of yoga studies.

6. Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and initiatives, contributing to the development of curriculum, assessment strategies, and institutional policies.

7. Contribute to the promotion of yoga and Consciousness-Based Education through outreach activities, community engagement, and collaboration with external partners.

8. Stay current with developments in the field of yoga studies and related disciplines, integrating new knowledge and practices into teaching, research, and service activities.

Qualifications:
1. A Ph.D. or NET in Yoga Studies.

2. Demonstrated expertise in yoga theory, practice, and philosophy,

3. Strong research background with publications in reputable academic journals and presentations at conferences.

4. Experience with Consciousness-Based Education or a strong interest in integrating yoga with modern academic disciplines.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment.

6. Commitment to the principles of Consciousness-Based Education, including the practice of Transcendental Meditation, preferred..
