**Position Summary**:
**About: Comprehensive School Transformation Program**
The Comprehensive School Transformation Program, a collaboration between The Education Alliance and Teach for India, is focused on elevating the educational standards within MCD Schools in Delhi. Our mission is to not only improve academic quality but also to foster a nurturing environment that empowers students for success. Join us in this transformative journey to revolutionize education and create lasting change in our communities.
**About the role**:
The Academic Coordinator will lead the school, focusing on instruction and responsibility for the successful development, growth and achievement of every student, directly managing all the school teachers and other school employees.
The Academic Coordinator will create and sustain a strong school culture, develop and support teachers as professionals, build relationships with families and oversee all functions of the school. They will be the point of contact for all external facing relations to the school such as donors, government officials and community leaders.
The Academic Coordinator will define and create the value system, core beliefs, culture, operational practices and resource allotment plans for the school, combining researched best practices with their contextual innovation. The Academic Coordinator will be responsible for goals across the three big buckets.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**As a Coordinator of the school**:
- Develop a two-year Vision and Strategy for the school and create a holistic plan for student and teacher development.
- Effectively manage the school team: setting and maintaining a high bar of excellence, encouraging initiatives, and resolving conflicts.
- Intentionally define, refine, and build the team and school culture.
- Lead the enrollment of the appropriate number of students each year from target communities.
- Invest and collaborate closely with community leaders and students’ families to maximize community engagement and impact.
- Collaborate intentionally with other Academic Coordinators from the School Transformation Program and the TFI Program Manager.
**As an Instructional Coach**:
- Set ambitious goals for student achievement along with teachers for each class in your school.
- Observe classroom instruction, provide feedback to teachers and conduct professional development training around effective instruction.
- Ensure documentation and collection of student data to drive initiatives.
- Develop Individual Growth Plans for all staff - individualizing the support inputs
- Work closely with the TFI Program Managers and training team to work on the training support for TTF and TFI Fellows as well as other teachers in the school.
**As an Operations Lead**:
- Design and manage the operations and logistics of the school, including systems and processes related to infrastructure, HR, Data, Government-related functions and Administration.
- Oversee budget allocation for the school throughout the year.
- Maintain positive relationships with school-based government officials, parents and other community stakeholders
**Skills and Qualifications**:
