**Job Summary**:
The Baker is responsible for creating a variety of contemporary Indian baked goods, ensuring the quality, taste, and presentation meet the expectations of customers.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Recipe Development**:
- Create and develop recipes for a range of baked goods.
- **Baking Operations**:
- Execute and oversee the baking process, ensuring that all products meet quality and consistency standards.
- Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and other variables to produce high-quality goods.
- **Ingredient Management**:
- Source and manage inventory of authentic ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Collaborate with suppliers to secure a consistent and reliable source of ingredients.
- **Menu Planning**:
- Develop and update the menu regularly, incorporating seasonal and trending items.
- Balance traditional offerings with creative and contemporary options to cater to a diverse customer base.
- **Quality Assurance**:
- Implement quality control measures to guarantee that all baked goods meet hygiene and safety standards.
- Conduct taste tests and gather feedback to continuously improve and refine recipes.
- **Customer Service**:
- Interact with customers, providing information about the products and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Solicit feedback to understand customer preferences and adapt offerings accordingly.
- **Hygiene and Safety**:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper hygiene and safety practices.
- **Cost Control**:
- Manage ingredient costs, portion control, and waste to optimize profitability.
- Work within budget constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.
- **Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in menu planning meetings and contribute ideas for new products.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a Baker.
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and flavours.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional baked goods.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
**Education and Certification**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Culinary school or relevant baking certifications are a plus.
**Working Conditions**:
- Flexible working hours, including early mornings and weekends.
- Fast-paced kitchen environment.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Internship
Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: ₹5,000.00 per month
Supplemental pay types:
