**The Role**
- Managing projects or associated tasks and undertaking specialist/technical hydrogeological project work including managing and guiding junior staff in a technical capacity.
- Interacting with UK colleagues at a range of levels concerning relevant aspects of business delivery and development, resource planning plus staff development/welfare.
- Managing and inputting to project proposals.
- Staff mentoring.

**The Team**

As a specialist/expert within our UK Ground & Water section you will take up a leading position in our clean water Hydrogeology Team (comprising ~18 staff nationally) working on a range of projects requiring hydrogeological input into major infrastructure, built development and water resources/environment studies, often covering both environmental and design elements. The team works mainly on UK schemes but also supports international projects, predominantly in the Middle East. Contaminated land hydrogeology is typically delivered by another hydrogeology team within Ground & Water. With offices across the UK, you will have the choice to be based out of the office most conveniently located for you, working on a hybrid basis.

**Experience Required**
- Professional registration / chartered status with a relevant industry body (e.g. Geological Society).
- UK hydrogeological experience essential, international project experience beneficial but not a role requirement.
- Experience providing specialist hydrogeological support to major linear infrastructure scheme projects (road, rail & pipeline developments) covering designs, EIAs and Regulatory Permitting.
- Experience providing specialist hydrogeological support to water resources/environment projects; and/or built development/industry; covering drainage designs, EIAs, Regulatory Permitting and operations (including optimisation/protection).
- Experience in designing/delivering a wide range of complex/challenging hydrogeological investigations.
- Experience managing projects entailing significant groundwater resources, modelling or rising groundwater/mine water components.
- Team player characteristics with a desire to work collaboratively/flexibly both within the UK and internationally.
- Experience of and desire to mentor and develop staff.
- Good communication/reporting skills and a desire to contribute to our business/service development.
