**Job Summary**:The AV Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual (AV) systems in classrooms and lecture halls. This role ensures that all AV equipment functions smoothly to support effective teaching and learning experiences.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**AV System Installation and Maintenance**:

- Install and configure AV systems including projectors, microphones, speakers, smart boards, and video conferencing equipment.
- Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure all AV equipment is in good working order.
- Upgrade AV systems as needed to keep up with technological advancements and institutional requirements.

**Troubleshooting and Support**:

- Provide technical support for AV equipment during classes and events.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve any AV system issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a log of AV issues and resolutions to help prevent future problems.

**User Training and Assistance**:

- Train faculty and staff on the proper use of AV equipment.
- Create and update user manuals and quick-start guides for AV systems.
- Assist users with setup and operation of AV equipment as needed.

**System Monitoring and Management**:

- Monitor the performance and usage of AV systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Implement and manage remote monitoring tools for AV equipment where applicable.
- Maintain an inventory of AV equipment and manage asset tracking.

**Coordination and Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the IT department to integrate AV systems with network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with external vendors for AV system installations and repairs.
- Coordinate with event organizers to understand and fulfill AV requirements for events and conferences.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed records of all AV equipment, including installation dates, configurations, and maintenance schedules.
- Generate reports on AV system performance and utilization.
- Document all technical procedures and troubleshooting steps.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Audio-Visual Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in AV system installation, maintenance, and support.
- Strong technical knowledge of AV systems, including projectors, sound systems, smart boards, and video conferencing equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues quickly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for training and assisting users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
