**Job Summary**:
The Medical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative operations of the healthcare facility. This leadership role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing medical staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. The Medical Superintendent works closely with other senior leaders to achieve the facility's strategic goals and improve overall healthcare services.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Overseeing the overall functioning of the hospital, ensuring high standards of patient care
- Leading and managing the clinical and administrative staff
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Implementing policies for improving patient care and operational efficiency
- Coordinating with various departments for smooth and efficient hospital operations
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the medical staff
- Handling grievances and resolving issues related to patient care
- Leading initiatives for medical research and academic activities (DNB, NABH,QCI)

**Qualifications**:
- **Education**:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in a relevant medical specialty preferred.
- **Experience**:
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or administrative role within a healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in managing medical staff and overseeing clinical operations.
- **Skills**:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse medical team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality improvement processes, and patient care standards.
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
