Role Overview:.

As a specialist in search engine optimization (SEO), your main duty is to optimize websites and digital content to increase their visibility and organic rankings on search engine results pages (SERPs). You will be involved in a number of SEO-related activities, such as link-building, performance monitoring, technical SEO, on-page optimization, and keyword research. Your objectives are to boost the websites you work on's overall online presence, increase organic traffic, and enhance search engine rankings.

Principal Tasks:.

Keyword Research and Analysis:.

To find relevant keywords and search terms, conduct extensive keyword research.

Determine the most valuable opportunities by examining keyword competition and search volume.

Implement keyword optimization strategies for website content, meta tags, headers, and other relevant elements.

Page optimization (on-page).

To increase the crawlability and indexing of websites by search engines, optimize the website's HTML tags, URLs, and internal linking.

Create compelling and optimized meta tags (title tags, meta descriptions) for web pages.

Optimize content for target keywords, ensuring it is informative, relevant, and user-friendly.

For a better user experience and higher search engine rankings, increase website loading speed and mobile friendliness.

SEO on a technical level:.

Perform website audits to identify technical issues affecting SEO performance.

Resolve crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content, and other technical issues.

Implement structured data markup (Schema. org) to enhance search engine understanding of website content.

Monitor and optimize website performance, including server response codes, XML sitemaps, and robots.

Off-page Optimization and Link Building:.

Develop and execute link building strategies to increase the number of high-quality backlinks.

Identify relevant websites and potential link opportunities through outreach and relationship building.

Monitor backlink profiles and disavow toxic or spammy links.

Collaborate with content creators to develop link-worthy content and promote it through social media and other channels.

SEO Reporting and Analysis:.

Monitor website rankings, organic traffic, and other key SEO performance metrics.

Generate regular reports to track progress, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.

Use web analytics tools (e.

, Google Analytics) to gain insights into user behavior and website performance.

Stay updated with industry trends, search engine algorithm changes, and SEO best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, computer science, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

Proven experience in SEO, preferably in an agency or corporate setting.

In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.

Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.

Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive actionable insights.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic web development concepts.

Up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry news.

Attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
