Job Title: Pharmacy Manager - IP Billing and Inventory Management
Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:
1. IP Billing Management:
- Oversee the IP billing process for the hospital's pharmacy department, ensuring timely and accurate submission of insurance claims, invoices, and related billing documents.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts receivable, handle billing discrepancies, and address any billing-related issues or inquiries.
- Stay updated with insurance regulations, billing codes, and reimbursement policies to ensure compliance and minimize billing errors.
- Implement strategies to optimize billing procedures, improve claim acceptance rates, and expedite reimbursement.
2. Inventory Management:
- Develop and implement effective inventory control systems to ensure adequate stock of medications and supplies, while minimizing waste and stockouts.
- Monitor inventory levels, anticipate demand, and initiate replenishment orders in a timely manner to prevent shortages and maintain optimum stock levels.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source pharmaceutical products, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and maintain good vendor relationships.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, address discrepancies, and implement strategies to minimize inventory losses and improve accuracy.
3. Team Management and Training:
- Lead and supervise the pharmacy team, ensuring efficient workflow, teamwork, and adherence to quality standards.
- Provide training and guidance to pharmacy staff on IP billing procedures, inventory management best practices, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and initiate appropriate disciplinary actions when required.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages creativity, open communication, and continuous learning.
4. Compliance and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IP billing and inventory management, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
- Generate regular reports on IP billing metrics, inventory levels, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the regulatory team to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation requirements.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree (Bpharm), Diploma in Pharmacy (Dpharm), or Master's degree in Pharmacy (Mpharm).
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of IP billing procedures, insurance regulations, and reimbursement policies.
- Proficient in using billing software and pharmacy information systems for processing claims and managing inventory.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with pharmacy regulations, medication safety practices, and quality assurance processes.
- Solid understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing billing and inventory-related data.
**Job Type**: Regular / Permanent
**Salary**: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
