- Manage complete payroll operations, including vendor coordination, compliance adherence, and benefits administration within an Indian payroll framework.
- Lead and supervise a team to ensure seamless payroll processing, accurate consolidation of inputs, and precise reconciliation, resulting in on-time payments.
- Spearhead initiatives for process enhancement and automation, focusing on continuous improvements in payroll procedures.
- Provide guidance and solutions to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, income tax, and perquisites, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Oversee the enrolment processes for annual and ad-hoc benefit plans, ensuring the accurate implementation of performance-related components.
- Ensure punctual and accurate on-cycle and off-cycle payments to employees, maintaining adherence to defined timelines.
- Drive proactive communication to employees regarding payroll, benefits administration, and related updates.
- Efficiently manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting, compliance, and payroll/benefits activities, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate across teams to resolve queries from vendors, customers, and employees, contributing to comprehensive root cause analyses and sustainable solutions.
**Key Requirements**:
- Proven professional experience in end-to-end payroll management, with exposure to Indian payroll practices.
- Proficiency in managing statutory compliance requirements.
- Strong history of successful stakeholder management, including finance, business, and HR departments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Prior exposure to team management.
- Demonstrated involvement in project work, especially process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Ability to ensure seamless payroll and benefits input processes, making recommendations for necessary process or system enhancements.
- Commitment to accuracy and timeliness in payment processing and benefits administration.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7-11 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on payroll management and compliance.
- Prior experience in India payroll and ESIC regulations is essential.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to payroll and taxation.
- Exceptional communication skills, rated 4 or above on a scale of 1 to 5.
- Proficient in stakeholder management, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proven track record of effective payroll processing, either in-house or through third-party services.
- Experience in managing payroll for a substantial number of employees.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
**Additional Details**:
- Designation: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Human Resources
- Reporting To: Manager Payroll
- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Working Days: 5 days a week
- Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Open to working extended hours if required)
- Location: Navi Mumbai
- Compensation: Total annual package of 13 lacs (12 lacs fixed, plus variable components)
**Salary**: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
