**Job Overview**: We are seeking a diligent and experienced Compliance Specialist to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that our organization adheres to legal standards and internal policies, with a specific emphasis on Know Your Customer (KYC), Background Verification (BGV), and Customer Business Verification. The Compliance Specialist will play a critical role in mitigating risks by ensuring that the identities and business credentials of our customers are accurately verified, documented, and compliant with regulatory requirements. **Key Responsibilities**:

- **KYC Compliance**:

- Conduct thorough KYC procedures to verify the identity of individual and business customers.
- Review and analyze customer information and documentation to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Perform risk assessments on new and existing customers to identify potential compliance issues.
- Monitor and report suspicious activities in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure all KYC records are accurately maintained and updated in the system.
- **Background Verification (BGV)**:

- Manage and execute the background verification process for individual and business customers, including checks on employment history, criminal records, and financial standing.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to conduct comprehensive background checks.
- Analyze BGV reports and flag any discrepancies or concerns to the relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of all BGV activities and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- **Customer Business Verification**:

- Verify the legitimacy and financial stability of customer businesses, including the review of business licenses, financial statements, and other relevant documentation.
- Conduct in-depth assessments of the business activities, ownership structures, and key stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor ongoing business relationships to ensure continuous compliance with established guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all aspects of the customer’s business are thoroughly vetted.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to KYC, BGV, Customer Business Verification, and overall compliance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on compliance-related matters.
- **Reporting and Documentation**:

- Prepare detailed reports on KYC, BGV, and Customer Business Verification activities for internal and external audits.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all compliance activities.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and submissions.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the Legal, Risk Management, and Customer Service teams to ensure a seamless and compliant customer onboarding experience.
- Provide training and support to team members on KYC, BGV, and Customer Business Verification processes.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in compliance, specifically in KYC, BGV, and Customer Business Verification roles.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to KYC, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), BGV, and business verification.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools.
