**POSITION TITLE: Analyst, Capital Markets
**Position Summary**:The new position will report to a team lead within the Capital Markets Trading team. The role will include monitoring trade activity for both loans and bonds, communicating regularly with the trade desk, and tracking changes in market spreads. Based on the sophistication and complex needs of the team, they require a dedicated resource to assist Traders with Reporting and Data Analytics. The position requires an individual with previous knowledge and/ or a strong interest in Capital Markets and more specifically the US mortgage industry. Intermediate excel skills are required, and mortgage industry experience is preferred.

**Job Functions and Responsibilities**:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

- Assist Secondary team in updating the pricing & risk management system used to value the loan position
- Produce and enhance existing analytics suite to be used to support trading and P&L explain activities
- Review daily pipeline reports to identify and resolve issues, deviations, or areas of concern
- Work with Traders to remediate any issues with the systems related to valuations or position management
- Assist with the development of rate sheets, heatmaps and valuation calculations for existing and new products
- Support development of daily analytics to monitor the position and automate early detection of issues Assist error or issue tracking and provide root cause analysis

**Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:

- Bachelor’s degree required; with focus in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics preferred
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in secondary marketing, trading, and/or capital markets
- Ability to interface confidently with internal/external parties
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and SQL or Python programming experience required
- Strong excel and data analysis experience required
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Superior communication skills and strong teamwork skills
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
