**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Accurate Coding**: Review patient charts and clinical documentation to accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and home health visits.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, including CMS guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and payer-specific policies, while maintaining strict accuracy in coding.
- **Documentation Review**: Collaborate with clinicians and healthcare providers to ensure complete and accurate documentation for proper coding. Resolve any discrepancies or missing information promptly.
- **Claims Submission**: Code and prepare claims for submission to insurance providers (Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance), ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.
- **Audit Support & Reporting**: Assist with internal coding audits and provide support for external audits, ensuring compliance and resolving any audit findings related to coding.
- **Continuous Learning**: Stay current on coding updates, regulatory changes, and healthcare trends. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to refine coding skills.
- **Collaboration with Billing and Clinical Teams**: Work closely with billing departments to ensure correct reimbursement, and assist clinicians and care teams with proper documentation and coding practices.
- **Productivity & Accuracy Tracking**: Maintain productivity targets and ensure a high level of accuracy in coding processes. Resolve coding discrepancies quickly to avoid delays in claim submissions.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum **of 3-5 years of experience in home health coding with expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. Previous experience with home health billing and claims processing is highly preferred.**:

- **Certification: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Home Health Coder (CHHC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or similar relevant certifications are required.**:

- **Education**: Associate’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field is preferred.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, coding software, and home health-specific coding platforms (e.g., 3M, Cerner). Strong familiarity with coding tools and software.
- **Knowledge of Regulations**: Deep understanding of CMS guidelines, HIPAA standards, and specific payer requirements for home health coding and billing.
- **Attention to Detail**: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to catch inconsistencies and errors in documentation or coding.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clinicians, care teams, and billing departments.
- **Problem-Solving Abilities**: Ability to identify issues, research discrepancies, and find solutions to complex coding challenges.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience in auditing **home health coding **and claims data.
- Familiarity with **coding changes and updates in the home health space (e.g., OASIS, HHRG).**:

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.

**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Comfortable working remotely or in an office environment, as per company policy.
