**Project Overview**

Purpose Climate Lab (PCL) is implementing a project called _Bolega Bihar: Activating Women Entrepreneurs in Bihar for Accelerated Adoption of Decentralised Renewable Energy (DRE) Solutions _in Gaya and Nalanda in Bihar from May - August 2023. The four-month project aims to empower women entrepreneurs to adopt solar solutions to power their businesses, strengthen the ecosystem support for solar adoption and maintenance at the ward/block and district level and create a supportive narrative to mainstream women’s needs for renewable energy solutions.

**Role**
**Overview**

The project is looking for an Impact, Measurement and Learning Associate in a consultant’s role to support the IML Manager in monitoring the overall progress and achievements of the project, including but not limited to, measuring the progress of project activities and outcomes achievement, developing monitoring tools and documenting achievements, learning and insights.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Monitoring project activities and outcomes achievement - 40%
- Develop monitoring tools for project activities as per the project SoW and IML framework
- Oversee deployment of these monitoring tools by offering training support to partner organisations
- Oversee data collection through field visits and in-person support during project events
- Lead data analysis and updating the project log frame with target achievement
- Review partner reports
- Support internal project reporting requirements for PCL
- Supporting project evaluation agency in executing baseline and endline studies - 20%
- Oversee overall deliverables of the evaluation agency and provide day to day oversight in deliverables management
- Offer in-person support to data collection teams from the evaluation agency during endline study
- Review drafts of the study and presentation decks and offer inputs
- Project documentation - 40%
- Support reporting and documentation requirements - internal and external (funder)
- Lead and develop insights documentation in the form of case studies, research briefs and policy recommendations

**Eligibility Criteria**

**Essential**
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in impact measurement in the social impact sector, preferably with women’s self help groups and partner management
- Understanding of Bihar’s social economic and political context
- Based out of Bihar, preferably Patna/Gaya/Nalanda
- Good knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite, esp MS Excel, Google Spreadsheets
- Excellent written documentation and presentation skills
- Excellent critical thinking, logical thinking and analysis skills
- Qualitative and/or quantitative research background
- Independent worker, organised, collaborative and inclusive approach to work
- Critical thinker, have high integrity, a team player with hands-on attitude, and a passionate problem-solving spirit

**Desired**
- Understanding or relevant experience of working on climate change or renewable energy
- Understanding or relevant experience of working with women’s self help group or microfinance/micro enterprises
- Good knowledge of research and data visualisation tools and softwares, SPSS, STATA, Atlas, Tableau etc.
