**About the Role**:
We are seeking a skilled Gentran Consultant to join our Enterprise Integration practice. You will play a key role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining EDI and B2B integration solutions using Sterling Gentran for our clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze client requirements to understand their EDI and B2B integration needs.
- Design and develop Gentran maps for seamless data exchange between trading partners.
- Configure and maintain Gentran translator components within the integration platform.
- Develop and implement EDI monitoring and error handling procedures for Gentran transactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Gentran-specific issues to ensure data integrity and successful data exchange.
- Collaborate with internal teams (developers, business analysts) and external partners on Gentran-based integrations.
- Stay current with the latest Gentran releases, features, and best practices.
- Document Gentran solutions for future reference and knowledge transfer.

**Technical Skills Required**:

- Proven experience as a Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) Consultant or IBM Sterling B2B Integrator role (3+ years)
- In-depth knowledge of Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) or IBM Sterling B2B Integrator functionalities and configuration
- Expertise in EDI standards and protocols (e.g., X12, EDIFACT)
- Experience in EDI mapping using Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) or IBM Sterling B2B Integrator tool.
- Experience with integration platforms and middleware concepts (e.g., IBM WebSphere MQ)
- Working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., ABAP, Python) for automation tasks (preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

**Bonus Points**:

- Experience with cloud-based EDI solutions (e.g., Gentran Cloud Services)
- Experience with API Management tools alongside Gentran integrations
