Pediatric Cardiologist

**THE ORGANISATION**

Child Heart Foundation works with children born with heart diseases from underprivileged families. Registered in 2013, it has come a long way, as an organization, the objective is to create an environment where ‘pediatric cardiac treatment’ would be within reach of every child, irrespective of financial status. All our programs are designed to address challenges faced in pediatric cardiology.

**THE JOB**

CHF has its own OPD in Uday Park, where already we are seeing several 100 patients a month, where the selected Pediatric Cardiologist would be stationed. The job would involve, echo, diagnosis, and counselling of the patients. Their treatment would be done in tertiary care hospitals and the selected Dr. may wish to partake in the care of these patients too (with appropriate paperwork done). The treatment involves interventions, and surgeries in these patients. The doctor may take part in the care of these patients in the hospital too.

The diagnosis and counselling will involve Fetal Cardiac patients.

The Dr. depending on skills will be supervised and taught fetal echocardiography if needed.

Since the treatment involves human life and expertise is required, supervision will be available as and when required by the Dr. and the organization for the treatment planning and execution.

The work may spill over at times for other patients of CHD who may not be just CHF. This may happen infrequently, if at all.

Child Heart Foundation has donated echo machines to several govt hospitals and is training their doctors to do screening echoes. It is our commitment to do OPD echocardiograms once or twice a week at these major hospitals.

**OTHER PROJECTS OF CHF**

CHF is also opening a full pediatric cardiology OPD at one of the Govt hospitals. Govt hospital referred patients would be seen there. It will involve a **different team** to take care of those patients.

CHF is also opening a full-fledged pediatric cardiology OPD in Gurgaon with a different team is also possible**.**

**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Assist in performing echocardiography screening, diagnosis, and consultation with patients who visit CHF OPD for suspected heart problems.
- Visit six to seven CHF OPD centres in Delhi NCR
- Provide consultation and recommendations for medical management of the patients diagnosed.
- Both non-invasive and invasive patient management
- Coordinate with the core team
- Data Management of patients seen
- Follow up pre and post-op.

**PREFERRED SKILL SET**
- Non-Invasive Cardiology
- Including experience in Fetal Cardiology

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- **MBBS**
- **MD/DNB PEDIATRICS**
- **FELLOWSHIP IN PEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGY: the ability to make the most diagnoses and counsel patients about the management plan. The fellowship may include FNB Pediatric Cardiology or equivalent training, and a skill set in Pediatric Echocardiography.**

**Salary**: ₹72,000.54 - ₹100,000.00 per month
