**Position**: QC Chemist (Chemical)
**Department**: Quality Control
**Location**: Bhagwanpur, Roorkee.
**Reports To**: QC Manager/Supervisor

**Job Summary**:
The QC Chemist (Chemical) will be responsible for conducting chemical testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products in the pharmaceutical manufacturing unit. The role requires ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to continuous improvements in the quality control processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Chemical Testing & Analysis**:

- Perform routine and non-routine chemical tests (e.g., HPLC, UV, FTIR, titrations) on raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products.
- Ensure testing meets specified standards and adheres to cGMP guidelines.
- Conduct stability studies and analytical validation as required.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, results, and data in compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EMA).
- Prepare and review analytical reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SOPs.
- Assist in the preparation of Certificates of Analysis (COA) for raw materials and finished goods.
- **Quality Control & Compliance**:

- Ensure all activities comply with established Quality Control procedures, SOPs, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GMP).
- Monitor and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance with regulations.
- **Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving**:

- Investigate deviations and non-conformities in product quality, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Work with the production team to address any chemical-related issues that may arise during manufacturing.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, R&D, and regulatory affairs to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Provide technical support and advice to other departments regarding chemical testing and quality assurance.
- **Training & Development**:

- Participate in training programs to stay updated on new methodologies, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
- Train junior chemists or lab assistants on laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Manage and monitor the stock of chemicals, reagents, and other laboratory supplies.
- Ensure the proper storage and handling of chemicals according to safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- **Experience**:

- 1-3 years of experience in a quality control laboratory, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with chemical analysis techniques (e.g., HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, Titration, etc.).
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, and FDA/EMA regulations.
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
