**Responsibilities**:
- Carry out reliable tests within precision limits
- Ensure effective sample management
- Timely testing and results reporting of Raw materials, in process, product & trouble shooting samples of all plants.
- To carry out timely Calibration of the entire section for lab instruments as per schedule or as per method requirement using applicable calibration/verification methods in general shift.
- Detect exceptions or deviations in test results
- Perform on-spot mitigation in emergency situation under the guidance of the section head
- Ensure proper sample retention as per defined lab procedure for addressing issues with customers (need based)
- Dispose left over samples safely as per SOP and co-ordinate with plant and other agencies for further actions.
- Perform Reagent preparation and standardization in general shift.
- Ensure availability of surveyor to witness the finished product analysis in shift.
- Awareness about Laboratory Quality Systems (ISO 9000/17025) requirements and good knowledge and skills for LIMS and SAP QM operations for day to day laboratory work
- Ensure timely completion of finished product sample and entry of test results in data management system (LIMS) and release of certificate through SAP
- CaSHE project selection and its compliance tracking by suitable actions.
- To improve customer satisfaction index
- Conduct scheduled lab safety audit as per checklist.
- Issue work permits during shift hours
- As a shift In Charge - Guiding the lab team and co-ordination with plant staff as per need.
- Product certificate / Usage Decision in SAP and COQ/COA to customers.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, Raise PR's for Lab requirement and co-ordinate with agencies for timely receipt.
- Data Management

- Ensure timely entry approval of test results in data management system (LIMS) HSE & other regulatory compliance
- Participate in PSM activities
- Follow applicable HSEF procedures/ practices
- Stay aware of environmental, site, statutory, IP regulations
- Handle chemicals and tools as per safety norms
- Ensure safe working conditions
- Ensure good housekeeping
- Acts as incident controller, ensuring the integrity of CRM and calibration standards
- Follow and enforce applicable HSE procedures/ practices
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Lead lab shift crew during any emergency situation and co-ordinate with SSM / Other executives.
- Learning & mentoring
- Conduct on job training to analysts and new joiners for laboratory analytical work and SOPs
- Conduct on job training to analysts and new joiners for laboratory safety.

**Education Requirement**:

- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Chemistry

**Experience Requirement**:

- 10-15 years in QA/QC discipline.
