Klarity (YC S18) uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to automate the enterprise contracts review and information extraction process. Our customers include companies like Coupa, Okta, RingCentral, Optimizely, and Lattice and they use Klarity to (1) save time and cost, (2) reduce compliance risk, and (3) ease the pain of manual contract review.

We have spent years working on our core NLP platform and found a product market fit by focusing on the Revenue Recognition use case. We’re experiencing hypergrowth and raised an $18m Series A in Dec 2021.

The Klarity Operations is composed of 50 Lawyers whose primary function is the review of customers’ contracts. This document review generates our training data which is used to train powerful models that automate document review. Data quality and quantity is at the heart of our long term moat against competitors

We are looking for a highly motivated lawyer who is passionate about our mission and can join our team to make significant contributions to help automate contract review.

**Location**: Onsite (Bangalore) Or Remote

**Job Type**: Full-Time, Night shifts

**Experience**: 1-4 years

**Responsibilities**:
As a legal analyst in a rapidly growing 40+ member team, your responsibilities will include:

- Processing documents received from customers and highlighting spans against a customized checklist with an intent to identify legal and business concepts;
- Generate, a large corpus of high quality training data to train machine learning models;
- Identify if automated predictions are accurate;
- Engage with customers and solicit feedback on the documents processed;
- Assist with customizing checklists and implementing customer feedback;
- Work closely with the product/tech team on various experiments to improve machine learning models.

**Qualifications**:

- A degree in Law, from a recognized university;
- Relevant professional experience (1 - 4 years) at a law firm or in-house;
- Knowledge of contract review and fundamentals of law;
- Ownership to independently handle tasks and responsibilities;
- Ability to understand the business requirements and work alongside stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
