We offer various art and craft workshops, including embroidery, where creativity thrives, and skills are honed. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Embroidery Teacher to join our team and inspire our customers with the art of needlework.
**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Class Instruction**:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging embroidery classes and workshops for participants of all ages and skill levels.
- Teach a variety of embroidery techniques, including but not limited to cross-stitch, satin stitch, French knots, and beadwork.
- Demonstrate proper use of embroidery tools and materials, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- **Curriculum Development**:
- Develop lesson plans that are tailored to the needs and interests of participants, incorporating both traditional and contemporary embroidery styles.
- Create step-by-step guides and reference materials for students to use during and after classes.
- **Student Engagement**:
- Encourage creativity and self-expression through embroidery projects.
- Provide individual support and constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where participants feel comfortable experimenting and asking questions.
- **Workshop Management**:
- Set up and organize the classroom or workshop area, ensuring all necessary materials and tools are available.
- Manage class schedules and keep accurate attendance records.
- Collaborate with the store manager and other team members to coordinate class offerings and special events.
- **Promotion and Outreach**:
- Assist in promoting embroidery classes through social media, cafe events, and community outreach.
- Participate in special events, exhibitions, or demonstrations to showcase the embroidery program and attract new students.
**Qualifications**:
- **Experience**: Proven experience in embroidery, with a portfolio showcasing a range of techniques and projects. Prior teaching experience is highly desirable.
- **Skills**: Expertise in various embroidery techniques and the ability to teach them effectively. Creativity in designing and executing embroidery projects.
- **Communication**: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of all ages and backgrounds.
- **Patience and Enthusiasm**: Ability to patiently guide students through the learning process, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
- **Flexibility**: Willingness to adapt to different teaching scenarios, from one-on-one sessions to larger group workshops.
