Job Description: POSITION TITLE: STORAGE ADMINISTRATOR Job description Group Distributed Department Storage and Backup Team Storage Primary Skills Hitachi Secondary Skill NetApp Role Description: ? Experience in managing and configuring various file systems through network using NAS SAN methodologies and installed RAID devices and identifying and analyzing technical issues and trouble shooting them. ? Experience in Firmware Upgrade and Zoning on Switches and Storage Technologies like iSCSI FC RAID and Storage Virtualization ? Expertise in allocating storage from NetApp Cluster mode NAS/SAN using NFS CIFS ISCSI and FCP. ? Hands on data compression and deduplication to compress the duplicate data objects. ? Expertise with Snapshots SnapMirror Snapvault and NetApp management tools like OCUM Performance Manager. ? Problem solving task prioritization communication and organization skills. ? Able to work in a deadline environment. Can work efficiently in a team and on individual tasks. ? Experience in working on Major Incidents and Problem Management. ? Establish Maintain and Mange delivery support team from the daily operations. ? Ensure the attainment and maintenance of excellent levels of client satisfaction with regards to operational and storage support. ? 24x7 on Call Support for Troubleshooting. Technical Skills Required Skills: ? Installation Configuration and Integration of NetApp Filers with the Windows and UNIX environment experience with CIFS NFS and LUN management Managing Quotas and Permissions managing disks. ? Managing iSCSI/FCP Network Mapping igroups and configuring LUN for unix and windows hosts. ? For NFS shares verifying the exports file thru CLI. Manage the NFS exports file using Filer GUI. Maintain User map file to perform Multi protocol mappings and access. ? Created Aggregates Volumes Qtrees and Quotas on Filers using DataOntap. ? Implemented in data migrations between the filers using Volume Qtree SnapMirror. ? Creating CIFS shares and managing the permissions of the CIFS Shares and Managing NFS Exports. ? VMware environment health check. ? Mounting/unmounting NFS and Adding FC LUNS on ESXi servers. ? Documented SOP?s for Storage support teams to assist them during day to day operations. ? Coordinating with Delivery Leads and Customers. ? Adding the new drives and upgrading the RAM size as per the client requirement. ? Implemented SnapMirror as a DR solution and Snapvault as backup solution. ? Replicate Secure data at remote sites with regulations to reduce risks using SnapLock ? Maintained a healthy NetApp storage by Configuring snapshots using Data OnTap FilerView and Scheduled daily weekly monthly backups using Snapshots. ? Handling System Administrator activities of Backup Servers. ? Performing DR Activity for frequently. ? DB Refresh Activity is performed for application level purpose. ? Troubleshooting FTP NFS NIS related issues. ? Used Data Fabric Manager (DFM) Filer View and OnTap command line in monitoring managing reporting and provisioning storage to the users. ? Upgrade disk shelf firmware upgrades on the NetApp Filers ? Worked on troubleshooting NFS SAN and CIFS issues and fine tune the filers for optimal performance. ? Creating daily utilization report daily storage health check report snapmirror report snapvault report and working on Capacity management report. ? Actively involving in problem management and raise RCA (root cause analysis) for repeated problems and issues. ? Has good experience in handling severity on production issues on timely basis ? Day to day troubleshooting of the environments which includes fixing all the issues coming in them and supporting the various components of Storage. ? Expertise in Storage provisioning using SVM creation CIFS NFS and LUN creation in Cluster Mode. Plan and Implement Ontap Upgrade.
