**Job Description: Furniture Designer**

Location: Lalru, Dera Bassi, Punjab

Knock on Wood is an award-winning furniture design and manufacturing firm known for its innovation, craftsmanship, and high-quality designs. We are looking for a passionate and experienced **Furniture Designer** to join our creative team. If you have a flair for design, an eye for detail, and the ability to turn ideas into functional and visually striking environments, this role is for you.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conceptualize and create unique, modern, and functional furniture designs using **wood** and **metal** materials.
- Produce **2D technical drawings** and **3D models** that detail dimensions, materials, finishes, and hardware.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and meet production timelines.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for each design, ensuring durability, functionality, and aesthetics.
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand design requirements and provide solutions that balance creativity and practicality.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, materials, and techniques in furniture design and incorporate them into your work.
- Ensure that all designs meet ergonomic, aesthetic, and safety standards.
- Participate in design reviews and adjust designs based on feedback from clients, production teams, and stakeholders.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- **Degree/Diploma in Industrial Design, Furniture Design**, or a related field.
- **3+ years of experience** in furniture design, with a focus on wood and metal furniture.
- Strong proficiency in **design software** such as **AutoCAD**, **SketchUp**, **SolidWorks**, **Rhino**, or similar tools.
- Experience with **woodworking** and **metal fabrication techniques** and the ability to design for manufacturability.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, joinery, and hardware specific to wood and metal furniture.
- A keen eye for detail, craftsmanship, and innovative design.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience in **3D rendering** software (e.g., **Blender**, **3ds Max**, **V-Ray**).
- Familiarity with **sustainable design practices** and material selection.
- Experience working with custom furniture projects or high-end furniture brands.
- Strong communication skills to present ideas and concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.

**How to Apply**:
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
