**Overview: As a Professional in QA you will work with senior QA engineers to execute tests for products and features within the TIBCO Statistica product group. You’ll be working closely with our Development Team and other QA Team members to deliver high-quality, high-value software to customers quickly.**:
**Responsibilities**:
As a junior engineer, you are eager to get started and learn by working alongside senior team members and exploring the product and internal documentation.
- Confirm that Defects are fixed as intended by development team, at first using reproduction steps provided by senior team members, and with increasing independence as your knowledge of the product grows
- Investigate TIBCO Statistica operations under a variety of operating conditions and from different user perspectives
- Execute manual test procedures and document your results
- Assist team with setup of test environments - including virtual machines, databases, and other software Statistica interacts with
- Perform installation tests before releases to ensure that large customer configurations will upgrade successfully
- Communicate clearly with the Development team and senior QA team members through the use of screenshots, easy-to-follow setup steps, and details of what the current behavior is and how it differs from expected behavior

**Qualifications**:

- Strong communication skills
- Ability and desire to learn new material quickly, making use of our internal reference guides, search engines, and asking for help from senior engineers as needed
- Analytical personality; curious & driven to explore why things are happening
- Nice to have: Experience with Windows environments
- Nice to have: Experience with cloud platforms, especially cloud databases
- Nice to have: A professional or educational background in statistics, psychology/experimental design, mathematics, computer science, software engineering
- Nice to have: Experience with R, Python, or any programming language
