**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate IT Counselor to provide guidance and support to individuals navigating technology-related challenges. The IT Counselor will work closely with students, staff, or clients to assess their needs, offer solutions, and enhance their digital literacy. This role is essential for fostering a supportive environment that empowers individuals to effectively use technology in their personal and professional lives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Counseling and Support**: Provide one-on-one counseling to individuals experiencing technology-related challenges, including software use, hardware issues, and digital literacy skills.
- **Assessment**: Evaluate clients’ technology needs and capabilities, identifying barriers to effective use and recommending tailored solutions.
- **Resource Development**: Create and maintain resources, such as guides, tutorials, and FAQs, to help individuals troubleshoot common IT issues and enhance their technology skills.
- **Collaboration**: Work with IT team members and other departments to ensure clients have access to necessary tools and support. Collaborate on projects aimed at improving overall technology usage and efficiency.
- **Stay Updated**: Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in technology to provide relevant and current advice.
- **Feedback and Improvement**: Collect and analyze feedback from clients to continuously improve counseling services and training programs.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, progress, and outcomes, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant policies.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Counseling, Education, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, etc.) are a plus.
- **Experience**: Minimum of [1 years] of experience in IT support, counseling, or education, with a strong focus on helping individuals with technology-related issues.
- **Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a patient, empathetic approach to teaching and counseling.
