Job Summary
As a Kitchen Trainee, you will work under the supervision of experienced kitchen staff to learn and develop culinary skills. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about food and eager to start a career in the culinary arts. You will receive on-the-job training while assisting in various kitchen tasks, including food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and packaging. The Kitchen Trainee role is essential in supporting kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality food production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and portioning ingredients, under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
- Learn and follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the kitchen.
- Support kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Assist in cooking and assembling menu items according to recipes and specifications.
- Learn to operate kitchen equipment, including but not limited to, ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors, following safety protocols.
- Follow instructions and guidelines provided by the head chef or kitchen supervisor to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations, including health and safety standards, at all times.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by kitchen management to support overall kitchen operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Passion for food and a strong interest in pursuing a career in the culinary arts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and willingness to learn from experienced kitchen staff.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices is a plus.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary school education or previous kitchen experience is a bonus but not required.

Pay: ₹6,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
