**About The Role**:

- Nova Benefits is looking for a SDE intern who is motivated to build products that users love and is passionate about developing robust systems that back them. Preferably someone who has a background in CSE and very keen to learn.

**Role and responsibilities**
**are** - Gather and understand requirements for new product features.
- Define functionality to be implemented to deliver said feature.
- Break down problems to sub-problems and solve them.
- Write maintainable and scalable code, and know when to trade code quality for faster delivery.
- Communicate with both technical and non-technical team to identify and solve for road-blocks in advance.

**Requirements**:
- Proficient in using Linux based systems (any of Ubuntu/CentOS/etc) and **bash**:

- Proficient and experienced in using **Git** for collaborative development
- Proficient in **modern JavaScript (ES2018+), HTML and CSS**:

- Experienced in using **Bootstrap (CSS framework)**:

- Experienced in building backend systems with **Node.js and SQL**:

- Familiar with datastores like **Redis** and **PostgresQL** (Cassandra is a plus)
- Familiar with **Docker** (docker-compose is a plus)
- Familiar with **REST API** design principles (**GraphQL** is a plus)
- Willing to work in a **fast-paced** startup environment and follow **Agile** practices
- Aware of good coding and, documentation practices
- Above everything, willing to learn continuously and keep improving
