**Job Summary**:
The Autoclave Operator will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of a superheated water spray steriliser in compliance with company, regulatory and safety requirements. They will perform routine checks and maintenance of equipment, maintain accurate documentation of sterilisation activities, and collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient production.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate superheated water spray sterilisation equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
- Conduct routine checks of equipment and record data as required by SOPs
- Perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning, sanitising and calibrating equipment
- Record all sterilisation activities accurately and in a timely manner
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient production
- Participate in training programs and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry practices, regulations and technology
- Adhere to all quality and safety procedures to ensure product quality and a safe working environment
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- ITI diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in operating sterilisation equipment, preferably in a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of sterilisation processes and principles, including understanding of microbiology, bioburden, and endotoxin testing
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments
- Ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols precisely
- Flexibility to work in different shifts and availability for overtime when required

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
