SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (hereafter referenced as “ECS”) supports customers throughout their Cloud transformation and plays an important role for achieving SAP’s cloud ambition. We run the SAP software product portfolio on the customers’ preferred infrastructure (SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud or Hyperscalers) and with SAP Cloud Application Services at the core, we help customers to accelerate their SAP S/4HANA adoption and transformation to become an Intelligent Enterprises.

One of SAP’s large customers has started their “RISE with SAP” transformation and tasked SAP itself to move their business to the cloud. As part of this transformation, the ~80 productive landscapes must be moved to the infrastructure of Microsoft (Azure) and Amazon (AWS). In parallel to the migration, the customer is also undergoing its SAP S/4HANA transformation to become a full Intelligent Enterprise.

To provide the right level of service and in order to cope with the complexity and the specialties of the customer, a dedicated team is currently being set up within Enterprise Cloud Services Region MEE to work for this customer only. The goal of this team is to operate the entire customer SAP landscape and drive innovation adoption.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**

We are looking for a **Senior Technical Architect** for one of our strategic customer accounts.

This is a customer facing role where you will support the Head of Architecture and Technology Advisory as well as your architect & advisor colleagues with architecture topics (SAP on hyperscaler, transition methodology, overall architecture) during the entire customer lifecycle.
- Present in detail technical and operational aspects of the SAP RISE Private Cloud.
- Conduct discovery workshops with customer to define the future cloud architecture and plan the roadmap.
- Work closely with customer and IaaS partner to perform data center assessment & compatibility check for cloud transition.
- Works as trusted technical advisor representing ECS in customer/partner/consulting discussions
- Support Cloud Advisory Architect (CAA) to identify customer future requirements
- Works as feedback channel for customers in ECS providing improvement inputs to ECS cross delivery units (SE, Productization, Scalable Units)
- Support Engagement Lead and Project Lead in delivering customer services
- Collaborate with different teams from within the ECS organization and outside to ensure excellent customer satisfaction; this includes interacting with customers
- Support delivery teams to perform and drive root cause analysis to completion
- Participate and contribute towards organization’s goals and objectives, collaborating with multiple teams and Solutions

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Solid experience in technical planning, implementation and configuration of SAP and non-SAP solutions: solution landscape design, sizing, integration, network.
- Good knowledge of the entire SAP technology stack: NetWeaver/ABAP stack, database, operating system (Linux, HANA, ASE) and connectors (SAP Cloud Connector, SAP Web Dispatcher, load balancing)
- Experience with hyperscalers (preferably Azure) and their integration technologies.
- Solid understanding of cloud concepts and technologies: virtualization, high availability & disaster recovery, availability zones etc.
- Understands end to end business drivers for customers to be in cloud, translating it into technical requirements
- Ability to Own, Lead and coordinate operational tasks, customer escalations, process improvements.
- Maintain high level of standards and quality of technical consulting and customer interaction
- Mentor and guide junior members of the team. As a senior Technology specialist in the team, junior team members will see you as a role-model and look to you for guidance and support.

**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management.
- Strongly focused on quality, customer success and driven by results
- Experience in working with cross-cultural teams or individuals
- Solid know-how on SAP Technologies and Products (SAP certification highly beneficial).
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate and escalate Issues.
- Able to articulate technical details to non-technical audience such as customer with great clear and concise Confidence.
- Ability to work under pressure and constantly add value to customer and within organization
- Ability to work effectively in international and virtual teams and get work done smoothly from multiple teams in ECS.
- Capacity to continuously acquire new knowledge in an independent, proactive way
- Good analytical and solution-oriented thinking
- Having project management experience is plus.
