A Go Share is a program that enables employees to develop skills and experiences by working on a project within or outside of their team. Go Shares provide employees with an opportunity to develop their skills, learn about our business, and broaden their network within Visa.
**Job Description** Project Description**:
As a part of CSR initiative, Visa India team has proposed a project to educate and
empower communities across the globe using Visa’s own MOOC by leveraging and
customizing OpenEdx. The platform will provide a space where educators can create
and host courses, and learners can enrol and engage with these courses.

Key features of the Open Learning Platform will include:

- User Registration: The platform will support different user roles such as learners, educators, and administrators, each with different access levels and functionalities.
- Course Creation and Evaluation: Educators will be able to create courses, add course materials (like videos, text, quizzes), and manage their courses.
- Course Enrolment: Learners will be able to browse available courses, enrol in courses of their interest, and track their progress.
- Discussion Forums: Each course will have a discussion forum where learners can engage with each other and the course instructor.
- Assessments and Certifications: The platform will support quizzes and assessments to test learner's knowledge. On completion of a course, learners will receive a certificate.
- Dashboard and Reporting: Administrators will have access to a dashboard that provides insights into user activity, course popularity, and other key metrics.

**Audience**:
Our Primary audience are the women beneficiaries from underprivileged
communities with low level of educations. With Visa’s MOOC as an underlying platform,
courses like Entrepreneurship Development Module would enable us to reach larger
audience. The Entrepreneurship Development Module aims to create a comprehensive
and interactive educational experience for aspiring entrepreneurs through an innovative
mobile app/online platform. This module will provide users with essential knowledge,
skills, and resources needed to develop and launch/run their own businesses
successfully.

Visa’s MOOC is not limited to United Way Mumbai’s Entrepreneurship Development
Module rather the scope is to enable anyone with a passion to teach can use this
platform and share knowledge to many underprivileged communities across the world.
**Qualifications**
1. Full Stack developer with 5+ year experience.
2. Working knowledge in UI framework (Django/React)
4. Experience with MySQL or any related database platform.
5. Experience with Mongo DB.
6. Memcached Knowledge or experience.
7. AWS Knowledge (This project will be deployed on AWS).
8. DevOps Knowledge preferred.
Docker containers.
10. Good understanding of Unix and relevant commands.
11. Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
12. Willingness to learn from and share your knowledge with other team members.
13. Ability work independently and manage one’s time effectively and efficiently.
14. Committed to work and has passion for contributing to social initiatives or a
greater cause.
