Mapping - Product Owner

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

More specifically (s)he must be:

- As the Product Owner main responsibility is to create clear product requirements (e.g., JIRA user stories). Understand and negotiate technical implementation options with engineering and make decisions based on customer and business needs.
- Collaborate daily with engineering, testing, and other product managers. Ensure product and quartely roadmap is respected.
- To be the Mapping domain expert for your product area of responsibility, good understanding of the geospatial database will come handy.
- Must be keen to identify value addition to be done continuosuly in Product. Keep close eye on geospatial market to be well aware product evolution from other companies
- Create use case documents, review test cases prepared by QA teams
- Review and understand license and other legal terms of using Licensed or Opensoure Geospatial data.
- Lead and participate in sprint planning, grooming, and daily stand-ups to ensure a steady flow of teams work.
- Partner with product leadership to help define why and when certain product needs should be addressed, assisting in roadmap development and quarterly planning activitiesShould have worked with remotely located teams. (Work experience with French or any Europian team will be a benefit)
- Having knowlede of Spatial Data and Softwares like QGIS, ArcGIS will be a benefit
- Having knowledge on OSM will also a benefit.
- Hands on experience with Agile tools JIRA, KANBAN, Gitlab and Confluence etc
- Should be curious, good knowledge of Mapping Market
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
- Analytical mindset.

Product Lifecycle Management
- Manage a backlog of global priorities across multiple stakeholders and departments
- Maintains a release plan and high level roadmap providing insight to stakeholders of upcoming development
- Plan product launches.
- Help design product solutions.
- Maintain a list of product features.
- Identify product key developments.
- Analyse risks and cost-benefit ratios.
- Stay up to date in terms of digital product best practices (standards, security, integration, data requirements, etc.).

Case Development
- Write user stories.
- Write use case.
- Document product usage, define the test strategy and validate the product.

Product Deployment
- Work with Business Analyst in product-need matching.
- Help with functional analysis.
- Measure product deployment success.
- Transmit product improvements to the Digital Solution Developer and/or Deployer.
- Document product usage workarounds.
- Stay up to date with the latest capabilities and features available on the platform

Product Usage Optimisation
- Support product training.
- Troubleshoot product usage problem.
- Help with change management.
