**Purpose of the job**:
To ensure alignment of range buying to sales trends and projections for every season; to achieve the sell-through and gross margin targets set for the brand / category - Men’s Top wear Woven Buyer

***Role & Responsibilities**:

- Conducts market visits (own stores and competitors’); analyzes performance of various products and forecasts the market trends
- Compares the above inputs against store profiles and capacities to identify through-put options for a given space and type of neighborhood
- Provides inputs to product & design team on the season’s requirements
- Does range buying at roadshow based on Open-to-buy (OTB) quantity and value for a season as well as the product mix determined based on consumer and market analysis
- Conducts sell-through analysis to assess performance of different types of stocks or in specific stores as required and to drive corrective action. Also provides feedback to design & product for next season.
- Plans for promotions in dull seasons in terms of additional stock required, contribution to front-line training, etc.
- In case of any trends missed, check OTB and buy to meet such gaps. Alternatively, if some product moves at full price even at End of Season, reorders the same to benefit from the perception value of such products.
- Anchors the End of Season Sales (EOSS) based on analysis of what can be taken forward to next season without discount and what can be discounted; also explores liquidation options based on scope for ordering in the next season without pile-up of inventory. Strives to achieve a sell-through target after EOSS.
