**Position: Medical Billing Trainee**

As a Medical Billing Trainee at our esteemed organization in Saidapet, Chennai, you will play a crucial role in the end-to-end medical billing process, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for healthcare services. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a strong foundation in the field of medical billing.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Patient Registration: You will be responsible for accurately collecting and recording patient information, including personal details, insurance coverage, and medical history, while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

2. Insurance Verification: As a trainee, you will assist in verifying patients' insurance coverage and eligibility.

3. Medical Coding: You will learn the fundamentals of medical coding and assist in assigning appropriate codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments based on medical documentation. Attention to detail and adherence to coding guidelines (such as ICD-10 and CPT) will be essential in this role.

4. Claim Submission: Assisting the billing team, you will learn the process of generating accurate and complete claims based on the provided coding and documentation. This includes ensuring proper documentation, attaching supporting documents, and submitting claims to insurance companies or relevant payers.

5. Follow-up and Reimbursement: You will support the team in tracking and monitoring the progress of submitted claims. This involves proactively following up with insurance companies to ensure timely processing and resolution of any claim-related issues, denials, or rejections.

6. Compliance and Documentation: Throughout your training, you will learn the importance of maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate documentation. This includes adhering to HIPAA guidelines and handling sensitive patient information with utmost confidentiality.
- **Qualifications and Skills**:_
- A bachelor's degree in any healthcare-related field or equivalent education.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and internal team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
