**Job Description: Shift In-charge (Thermal Power Plant)**

**Location : Telangana State - Mancherial district & Karnataka State - Gulbarga and PAN India**

**Salary : Salary will be at par with the best in the Industry**

**Relevant Industry : Thermal Power Plant**

**Experience : 3-8 Years can apply**

**Responsibilities**:

- **Supervision**: Supervise and manage all operations during assigned shifts within the thermal power plant, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead and coordinate the activities of the shift operations team, including operators, technicians, and support staff, to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
- **Shift Handover**: Conduct thorough shift handovers, communicating key information, operational status, and any ongoing issues or concerns to incoming shift personnel.
- **Operational Oversight**: Monitor plant performance, including boiler, turbine, and auxiliary systems, through the Distributed Control System (DCS) and other monitoring tools, taking necessary actions to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- **Troubleshooting**: Identify and resolve operational issues promptly, coordinating with maintenance teams and other departments as needed, to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted power generation.
- **Safety Compliance**: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations during all plant activities, conducting regular safety inspections and promoting a culture of safety among shift personnel.
- **Emergency Response**: Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, such as equipment failures, alarms, or incidents, following established procedures to mitigate risks and ensure personnel safety.
- **Reporting and Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of shift activities, including operational logs, incident reports, and maintenance activities, and prepare shift reports for management review.
- **Training and Development**: Provide guidance and training to shift personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively and safely.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost savings, participating in plant improvement projects and initiatives as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) Additional certification in power plant operations or management is desirable.
- **Experience**: Several years of experience in power plant operations, including significant experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- **Technical Knowledge**: Strong understanding of thermal power plant processes, equipment, and systems, including boilers, turbines, pumps, and control systems.
- **Leadership Skills**: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of operators and technicians effectively.
- **Problem-Solving Ability**: Proven ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- **Safety Focus**: Commitment to safety excellence, with a thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the power generation industry.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and responding quickly to changing circumstances.
- **Decision-Making**: Sound judgment and decision-making skills, especially under pressure during emergency situations or critical plant operations.
- **Computer Proficiency**: Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), DCS, and other plant control and monitoring software.
- **Team Player**: Collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to teamwork, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment among shift personnel.
