Training and Placement Officer for Edtech

The Training and Placement Officer (TPO) will be responsible for managing the training, internships, and placement activities for students enrolled in various courses at the EdTech platform. The TPO will build strong relationships with industry partners, coordinate training programs, and ensure students are well-prepared for job opportunities. The role involves working closely with students to enhance their employability and facilitating successful career placements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Industry Partnerships & Placement**:
- Build and maintain relationships with companies, startups, and organizations to secure internships and placement opportunities for students.
- Collaborate with industry partners to understand their hiring needs and align the placement process accordingly.
- Organize on-campus/off-campus recruitment drives, interviews, and placement activities.
- **Training & Development**:
- Identify skill gaps in students and design training modules to improve employability skills such as communication, technical skills, and soft skills.
- Coordinate with the academic team to align training programs with industry demands.
- Organize workshops, mock interviews, resume-building sessions, and aptitude training for students.
- **Student Guidance & Support**:
- Provide career counseling and mentorship to students to help them identify potential career paths.
- Conduct regular student feedback sessions to understand their career aspirations and tailor placement efforts.
- Assist students in the development of their resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and portfolios.
- **Placement Data Management**:
- Maintain records of placement activities, student data, and job offers.
- Prepare reports and analyze placement data to measure success rates and areas of improvement.
- Track alumni career progress and maintain a network of alumni to leverage future placements.
- **Collaboration & Networking**:
- Attend industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to build contacts and stay updated on industry trends.
- Work closely with the academic team to provide insights on curriculum improvements based on industry feedback.
- Facilitate partnerships with external trainers, mentors, and industry experts for guest lectures and sessions.
- **Compliance & Reporting**:
- Ensure compliance with the placement policies and guidelines set by the EdTech platform.
- Provide timely updates to management on placement statistics, student performance, and industry collaborations.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, Education, Business, or related field.
- Proven experience in placement and training functions, preferably in the EdTech or educational sector.
- Strong network within the corporate industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and manage events efficiently.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Knowledge of industry trends in technology, digital marketing, data science, and other EdTech-related domains.
- Familiarity with job portals, social media recruiting, and online training platforms.
- Experience working with students or in the education sector.
