As a Housekeeping Assistant at our world-class home and furnishing experience center, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and overall hygiene standards within our lighting wholesale and retail establishment. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will contribute to creating a welcoming and pleasant environment for our customers and staff.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Cleaning and Sanitization**: Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing all areas of the establishment, such as showroom floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
2. **Surface Maintenance**: Ensure all surfaces, including countertops, shelves, displays, and fixtures, are kept clean, organized, and free from dust, fingerprints, and smudges. Polish surfaces as needed to maintain a neat and attractive appearance.
3. **Waste Management**: Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and other waste materials in designated containers. Ensure proper separation and disposal of waste by recycling and environmental regulations.
4. **Restocking Supplies**: Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other essential items. Restock supplies as needed to ensure availability for staff and customers.
5. **Reporting Maintenance Issues**: Report any maintenance or repair issues, such as leaks, damages, or malfunctioning fixtures, to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution.
6. **Assisting Customers**: Assist customers as needed, including directing them to specific products or departments, answering basic inquiries, and offering friendly and helpful service.
7. **Safety and Compliance**: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and customers. Follow established guidelines for the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
8. **Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with other staff members, including sales associates, electricians, and designers, to maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the establishment. Communicate effectively to address any cleaning-related issues or concerns.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if necessary.
- Flexibility to work during non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to cleaning and sanitation.
- Experience working in a retail or customer service environment.
- Knowledge of eco-friendly cleaning practices and products.
