The purpose of this role is to provide technology expertise to drive the delivery of outcomes as well as coach and lead of a team of Software Engineers. Leads a team composed of technical practitioners to plan and design converged technology solutions, providing technical expertise to support. The role is focused on best practices, technology, and delivering business value through high quality software. Delivers software solutions that provide business value and meet customer requirements, including necessary designs, documentation, automated testing, deployment and in-life support. Reviews team outputs to confirm adherence to quality standards and alignment to customer requirements, providing validation and sign-off on designs. Leads by example demonstrating hands on capability within Big Data.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Specialist in MDM & Reltio, technologies and with e2e designing. Able to improve/ automate builds using DevOps.
- Oversees and guides the design of infrastructure, software or networks, ensuring a continuous team focus on quality and customer needs.
- Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities to enhance team’s ways of working, operations and processes.
- Resolves technical issues raised by the team and/or customer and manages escalations as required.
- Delivering software solutions that provide business value and meet customer requirements, including necessary designs, documentation, automated testing, deployment and in-life support.
- Developing the lifecycle approach selection and limited tailoring, i.e. within a broader programme, or unit approach and practices. Delivering the appropriate level of production and in-life release support to ensure production issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
- Driving reuse of technology to ensure efficiency and improve velocity.
- Delivering organisational health outcomes across the team, including coaching and team development.
- Providing a technical direction and impacts of technical and commercial decisions on wider software lifecycle.
- Skills Required
- **Story-telling with data**:strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences
- **Problem Solving**:Ability to problem solve for issues that are broader than the delivered software, e.g. Integration, interconnection and e2e issues in complex integrated stacks. Resolving production issues to fix service P1-4 issues. Problems relating to introducing new technology, and resolving major issues in the platform and/or service.
- **Software Development Concepts**:Understands and experienced with the use of a wide range of programming concepts and is also aware of and has applied a range of algorithms.
- **Business acumen**: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)
- **Commercial & Risk Awareness**:Able to understand & evaluate both obvious and subtle commercial risks, especially in relation to a programme. Able to determine the appropriate commercial solutions and responses in highly political and complex situations and ensure that appropriate action is taken.
- **End to End Design **:Should have strong experience in defining, e2e design, solutioning Master Data Management projects with Reltio Master Data Management.
- Experience
- MDM: at least 1 year experience with Reltio & Master Data Management, Experience in leading MDM Design & Development.
- Should have strong experience in defining, e2e designing, solutioning Master Data Management projects with Reltio Master Data Management.
- Experience in Cloud (AWS) / distributed systems & integration with large scale non-relational data stores & GCP Bigquery and data modelling.
- Understanding the Customer need & come up with requirements and design technical solution to ensure it meets the business requirements.
- E2E Design: Design and executes the technical solution in collaborating with Product Owner, BA, BT Enterprise & GS team and technical team on e2e MDM Integrated solution.
- Drive Impact assessments and cross functional teams calls to progress and complete solution design
- Prepare the Produce High Level Designs (HLDs) describing IT systems changes to support MDM t & its requirements.
- Review Low Level Design produced by impacted component designers for compliance to HLDs.
- Seek buy-in/ approval from platform architects and Functional security teams on the proposed solution / Roadmap.
- Work / Provide design support to components and other architects during implementation of projects, manage design change requests
