**Job Title: TGT Geography**

**Location: BDW International School, Shillong - Meghalaya**

**Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Development**: Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the CBSE curriculum for Geography.
- **Classroom Instruction**: Deliver engaging lectures, lead discussions, and facilitate activities to promote student understanding of geographical concepts.
- **Assessment**: Design and administer assessments, including tests, quizzes, and projects, to evaluate student progress and comprehension.
- **Individualized Instruction**: Provide additional support to students who require extra assistance in understanding Geography concepts.
- **Classroom Management**: Maintain a well-organized and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
- **Parent Communication**: Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and academic concerns.
- **Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lesson plans and coordinate school-wide activities.
- **Extra-curricular Activities**: Participate in and/or supervise extra-curricular activities related to Geography, such as geography clubs, field trips, and competitions.
- **Student Support**: Provide guidance and counseling to students regarding academic and career choices, as well as personal development.
- **Administrative Tasks**: Complete administrative duties such as maintaining records, attending staff meetings, and participating in school events.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree
- Qualified CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) or equivalent state-level teaching eligibility test is preferred.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school, is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Geography concepts, including physical geography, human geography, and regional geography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Proficiency in technology-enhanced teaching tools and resources.
- Dedication to continuous professional development and improvement in teaching practices.
- Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for teaching and working with students.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
