Duties

Basic Function of the Position: The position is based in the Health Unit of U.S. Embassy/New Delhi. The incumbent will serve as professional Pharmacist and will be responsible for managing and operating the pharmaceutical services at the Health Unit in the U.S. Embassy, New Delhi and indirectly supporting pharmaceutical services at Consulates in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and others as established. S/he will perform professional pharmaceutical duties, administrative duties, as well as regular contact with outside vendors including those in USA, Europe, and Asia. The position also includes regional duties whereby the incumbent may provide pharmaceutical consultation and procurement assistance to American Embassies or Consulates in Asia, Central Asia, and other countries. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Evaluations

**Requirements**:
**EXPERI**ENCE**: Three years of work experience in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting.

**Education Requirements**:
Successful completion of Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharma) and must be registered as Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) or from U.S., Puerto Rico, or Western European equivalent. The license to practice Pharmacy should be current.

**Evaluations**:
LANGUAGE: Fluent in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required. This may be tested.

AND

Fluent in Hindi (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required

The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.
