Job Title: FinTech Architect

Department & Team: IT - Go To Market Applications

Location: Chennai, India

Summary:
What this role isn’t:
This isn’t a role where you are expected to lead a team, but you are expected to lead technical decisions across multiple stakeholders. You will need to jump in and quickly make strategic, actionable, and measurable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will need to bring your knowledge and experience delivering finance cloud-based solutions. You will also lead conversations, consult with teams, and use your knowledge to align the various stakeholders. You will be able to bring in off-the-shelf technologies and work with internal teams to develop customs systems. This role requires both technical skills and interpersonal skills to be successful.- Own the overall solution and system architecture for entire finance tech-stack. Collaborate with product management and business leadership to ensure a balance between short
- and long-term goals for financial systems and create current state and target state architectural context diagrams that explain how the finance tech stack functions, integrates, and operates using modern engineering patterns and enterprise standards- Assess current state solution architecture, and deliver designs for interim and target state financial systems roadmap (ERP, Revenue Recognition, tax, etc.) that meets the business scale needs- Manage finance tech-stack as a platform; ensure the engineering and technical considerations are accounted for in team rituals. Facilitates estimation of costs and effort of work items.- Leads the technical design of the platform and ensures that the prescribed architecture, security, SOX compliance, development best practices, and agile best practices are adhered to- Ensures that the delivery team commits to achievable and realistic goals and includes the entire team in the estimation/planning process to obtain diverse perspectives- Draft and review technical designs, integration standards, testing plans, and other financial systems architecture/engineering-related documentation.- May sometimes provide hands-on assistance with exceptionally complex technical solutions, operating as a senior engineer.- Leads the development of crucial mechanisms that support agile delivery

**Requirements**:

- 12+ years of experience in leading design, delivery, and operation of cloud-native systems (both internally developed software capabilities and SaaS/externally managed packages)
- In-depth knowledge of front-end technologies and a demonstrated proficiency in adopting modern patterns (API-first designs, Pub/Sub, etc.) and emerging technologies.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban, or other agile development techniques
- Fluency in DevOps, including continuous integration, continuous deployment/delivery, configuration and containerization, infrastructure as a code, and monitoring
- Strong concepts of performance optimizations and best practices for financial systems and architecture. Working with a multi-entity global NetSuite instance in fast-paced, SaaS/cloud /subscriptions/ enterprise B2B technology companies.
- Ability to learn new technologies as they become prevalent and widely implemented, decision-making, time management, and task prioritization
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Competencies:

- Flexible attitude and demonstrated ability to grow skillset and work across the entire technology stack
- Excellent technical and analytical skills to discuss problems, analyze solutions, and enable improvement
- Excellent communication skills to effectively manage key business stakeholder relationships
- Deep experience in NetSuite/Workday Financial, Coupa, Revpro and knowledge in Kyriba, Blackline
- Extensive knowledge of internal controls best practices and SOX Compliance
- Experience with data management, data transformation, ETL/APIs, Microservice based integrations, preferably using cloud-based tools/infrastructure.
