**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Manual Machinist is responsible for fabrication, modification, and operation of industrial machine tools and parts to precise specifications. The Manual Machinist develops and maintains these tools and parts utilizing knowledge of mechanics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

**KEY TASKS**:

- Set up and operate machine parts and components for all pumps and in a custom job shop.
- Machine pump components to specifications including impellers, wear-rings, bearing housings, covers, and seals
- **Vertical Turret Lathe and Horizontal Boring Mill manual machinist experience**:

- Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and sketches to determine methods of operation
- Perform precision metal cutting, grinding, shaping, and fitting with various machinery including horizontal boring mill, vertical boring mill, and ID/OD grinders
- Check dimensions of critical components and translate into numerical form using inspection equipment
- Evaluate machining procedures to ensure optimal efficiency
- Maintain machine tools and equipment in proper operational condition
- Comply with shop safety policies and procedures
- Collaborate with Engineers, shop personnel, and other Machinists to troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, & OTHER CHARACTERISTICS**:

- Knowledge of geometry to compute angles, radii, bolt circles, and other dimensions
- Knowledge of feed rates and effects of adjustments
- Skill in setting up jigs, fixtures, arbors, mandrels, centers, and clamps
- Ability to machine pump shafts of 3-10 ft and hold close tolerances of 0.0005 or less using steady rest
- Attention to detail
- Manual and finger dexterity
- Coordination and control precision
- Good communication skills in English

**EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION**:

- **5+ years post-training experience working as a conventional/manual machinist**:

- Completion of a technical or vocational training program related to machinery (Journeyman status preferred)
- **Prior experience in the pump industry** desired.
- High school diploma or equivalent

Pay: From ₹1,961.00 per hour
